Daniel Voss is a roamer between the worls of music, a crafty Genre-picker, made up of the finest electronic music styles – from lounge and world beats, from more experimental electronica to drum & bass – building a south oriented, cozy sound nest, where even the purely acousticly created sounds find a place.
The musician born on 19.11.1977 in a small town in the northwestern Germany, proves to be multitalented with his digital as well as analog generated tracks.
Born into a family of musicians and brother of Roland Voss (Lemongrass, Jasmon), Daniel touches on soft Nomad-soles and with alert, interested eyes and ears across countries and over continents.
Green Empaty is not a band nor a simple „project name“, but a „platform, on which musical elements from electronic/club/lounge meet wth tradition singing and instruments from different cultures.“ Voss further: „Stuck in the name „Green Empathy“ is the indeed the word 'empathy', so the ability to have compassion. That means I try out all these different points of views , how they are seen all over the globe and try to look at it from the inside out and understand it.
Music is the perfect key for that, because this way feelings, pictures and aesthetics can also be carried across language borders. Ultimately, it's like in nature: Everything observed together results in a huge orchestra and each individual makes an indispensable contribution. It is repeatedly reported of the so called „clairvoyant“, that the aura of a compassionate human is green in the middle – the color of the heart- of connectivity altogether. Therefor GREEN EMPATHY. The name also invokes more peace, acceptance and tolerance.
